We sure got our money’s worth from the game last week, besides going into overtime (again) it also was a two for one deal. Or at least it felt like we were watching two different games, one in the first half and a different game in the second half. I preferred the second half game were the Ravens came out looking rested from a bye week and dominated the Vikings like we all thought they should. Unlike the first half where the Ravens came out flat and let the Vikings run all over them. The bottom line is as Lamar would say all that matters is we got the “DUB”.
Please excuse my absence last week and an abbreviated View this week, it’s that time of year at work and I got boats to build or should I say tube bundles to build.
This week the 6-2 Ravens go to Miami for a Thursday night showdown with the 2-7 Dolphins. The Dolphins got their second win of the season last week against the Texans with the backup QB Jacoby Brissett under center, playing for Tua Tagovailoa (I think I have enough vowels in there) who may not play again this week against the Ravens.
Good news for the Ravens Nick Boyle should play tonight and that should help the us with pass protection and run blocking. Although he may be limited keep an eye on him on third downs.
Go Ravens!!!
Remember don’t bet on my picks, sine they are who we want to win not who we think will win.
Thursday Night 8:00
RAVENS over Dolphins
The Ravens secondary has become a concern allowing way too many big plays. If Tua plays tonight, the match up of Marlon Humphrey versus Dolphins rookie wide receiver Jaylen Waddle will be an interesting battle, and one that favors Humphrey. Tua is a mobile QB that could give our pass rush problems. If Jacoby plays, it will be a good night for our pass rush. Last week Lamar tied the record of most 100 rushing yard games for a QB with ten. Let’s hope he doesn’t break the record tonight. While I like how elusive and exciting Lamar is running the ball it’s not a good thing for him to be running so much. I hold my breath waiting for Lamar to get out from under a pile of defenders. Look for the Ravens offense to have a big night but if Tua plays the score may be closer than we would like. So, it could be another one of those nail-biting games.
GO RAVENS!!!
